Werms and Dirt

Just in case North Korea reduces us to a pile of rubble, here's five minutes of street riding that might make it all worth it.

Digging deep in the dirt, here we have a vid featuring Dustin Mata AKA Dirt and Ryan Lewis AKA Redwerm. Worms and Dirt. The opening smith grind clip is out of hand, and Werm holds it down with a manual to kinker. Is there an emoticon for a birdcall? Budman filmed this, as it is also his birthday today! Out of respect, I will not post the infamous Budman puking picture.
Keeping in the theme of street riding, Chef Chachi cooked up this sick vid featuring all his homies and a big ass barspin by Victor Galindo at B-40 Middle School.

Dirt Terminator

bmxicans from jon lohne on Vimeo.

Skynet decided to keep a watchful eye on a private dirtscape, making sure the only real dangers were boosting aerials and drunken men. Nothing hiding in these mounds, though there may be a wounded soldier or two.

I love this shit!

I really love east coast street riding; there's something about just cruising and making the best of spots that may not be a spongey 6 ft tall x 10ft long box jump with hips on the side. But if you found one of those on the streets... The SAF videos are becoming my new favorite bmx vids.

Geoff Rowley, Mark Appleyard, Tom Penny and the Black Eyed Peas pre-Fergie. To me, this was when skateboarding was cool, rather than too cool.

Lil Mikey Monday

Nothing says Monday like getting back to your daily grind. Improve your grind with some Lil Mikey's! Two new vids in one week, pretty impressive; like the pedal grind thing Ronnie Grant does in the second vid at 1:00! Somebody's gonna be hitting Poet's Park soon. Have a great Monday peeps!

Sharks in New Habitats

Short vid by Pat Kelly, featuring riders from San Jose, including the elusive Beerman. If you don't have 1:17 to watch this, then you are a fucking liar.

Also, a jam at the Asylum 2.0 is going down on Saturday for the premiere of the Fourohate DVD, Brokless 3. I missed last weekend's premiere, I will be missing this weekend premiere; fuck man, will I ever get to see this vid?

Blame Canada!

Our Canadian connection Andrew Gobbo put out this video of him stomping spots around Canada, with many a grind and brakeless fufanu!

As a reward for a dope video, Mr. Gobbo, I present to you a new and improved spot right by my house that has your name on it! Fire up the L!

In unrelated news, STF just got a new website, which has been updated on the side bar. Click here for the goods, and support BMX in the Bay from the ground up!

The Bathrooms

Thomas lives! Don't skip on this Jimmy, some good riding and spots relatively close to our neck of the woods. Plus I think Thomas is frying on acid and thinks he's playing Guitar Hero on his bike.

My only complaint is that they did not use any clips of Sprinkles' "incident." For those who were there, you know what I mean...

Transition from Old to New

This is a pretty legendary crew of old dudes shredding some legendary spots. If Mike Vallely can get away with skating behind a shopping center when he's 42, I feel like I have quite a bit of time before I look weird riding the manual pads by fun spot. Maybe save Santa Cruz High for the weekends though. Hail Santa Cruz spots!

Here's some young dudes riding bikes in Santa Cruz! Yeah Brad!

Sponge Spot

I gotta say, I've been feeling like riding the fun spot lately. Thanks for snapping these pics Steve!

Respect Thy Neighbor

Been clocking a lot of time at Mike Fox this past week, and it finally dawned upon me that there are A LOT of really talented ripper skaters in town. Don't get me wrong, Santa Cruz has produced tons of skate icons in the form of brands and skaters. However, I find it really easy to get desensitized to the many wood pushers that just hang out, want to look cool, or simply get in the way. So raise your glasses to the young rippers that are chasing that adrenaline dragon, staying motivated, and doing sick shit in our backyard!

Badness From the Bay!

Welcome to Destroy Sean Sieling from Colin Bugella on Vimeo.

Totally just stumbled upon this tonight, but I hope more people catch Sean Sieling throwing down all over the bay. Very psyched on the icepick at the end. If I remember correctly, it is skatestopped at some spoints too? Either way, that's an epic Peninsula rail that reminded me of how much I miss riding out there. The following flier might be the remedy.

Finally, I recommend this being the soundtrack for your weekend

Le Spectacle Merde 4

Shit Show 4 from FBM BMX on Vimeo.

Kenny Horton has done it again, with another Shit Show classic! Featuring mentally unstable people on and off the bike, strap up your straight jackets and prepare to get a dose of grinds, gaps, and the death-defying Jac-Nac! More posts to come, but this is a good video to rope you back in from our brief hiatus.
