Paint the Town Shred

Today was a good day. I went on a long ass bike ride on a beach cruiser which was about 20 miles round trip. Then I ate that tri-tip sandwich. And then I found an MSPaint style program free download for Mac. So here's a couple of pictures from the Santa Cruz 4 Lokos Jam that Murph took with his magic camera...

Jordan about to get eaten by a mah fuggin shawk! I wish Play 'em Off Keyboard cat was there for this one. Budman should've been filming. Let 'em play 'em off.

He Be Doin' the Bonedeths

Had the actual Bone Deth video been like this random section ripped from the bonus DVD, then I think I would've actually liked it. Does anybody else think that Dan Bob is a funny name to have?

This little shit is practically doing the Bonedeths too, getting his scarface on by the amount of rails he's blasting down. The song sucks, but if you're at a deskjob, it won't even matter. Holler if you're bored at work.

Breakfast Beer

Sasquatch Summer Brew from jackson allen on Vimeo.

Jackson uploaded his new feel good movie of the summer that was epicly premiered for a select few at my house on Eddie Money day. Definitely the highlight, because Eddie Money kind of sucked this year.

Speaking of beers for breakfast and money, let's all take time to congratulate our friend Andrew for locking in a job in this tight market. So if you're Campagnolo wheelset has mad hop from jumping stairs in the middle of the AMGEN tour, your answers lie with Mr. Heath. You've made your Real Dad AKA Kelly Costello proud. Cheers!

It's Good to be Home

Mike Meister Solid Bikes Edit from Dustin Arp on Vimeo.

Figured this was post worthy, as it commemorates my admiration for Solid Bikes as well as Colorado. You can't spell Colorado without RAD! Plus the bank to wall in this video is one of the sweetest spots I've ridden to the date.

Escape from Oakland took place over the weekend, and many thanks to those who put up with me or just hung in there while I traversed the concrete jungle of multiple realities. As Chris San Augustin put it, the backdrop resembled a mix of Waterworld, Mad Max, and Suicide Girls, and the amount of alcohol absorbed into my consciousness was like navigating a map by MC Escher. Part of me wishes I could show you pictures of the madness, but mainly I just want to put it behind me. Props to Kweli, Cheese, and the rest of First Rule for getting us on board that wild ride!

Say Word

That is a ridiculous trick

guys just rocking the roller skates in the background, so rad.

Show Me the Money!

Eddie Money Shot from Andy Maguire on Vimeo.

All this hype for Eddie Money and the day he plays I leave you with a re-post. As inappropriate at it seems, Eddie Money is a repeat offender himself. Year after year, he resurfaces like an Easter vigil to deliver a slurricane of 70's-80's pop hits that sha sha sha shake up the crowd. I see nobody has taken up my offer for the line-up call contest, but that's okay. If you're in the area, stop by my place for a premiere of a hot little Sasquatch Canyon joint, and maybe even an SJBMX world premiere. Mere speculations. But one thing is for certain; Mike will vomit.

All the Money in the World...

Here is the spoiler for tomorrow's man of the hour. I know we have some Country Club readers over the hill, maybe even in different countries and galaxies, and unfortunately not everyone in the extended family/links section can make it. Don't be scared though, this year the chances of being stabbed decreased dramatically over the last two years. So count on tomorrow looking like this:

At this point, Eddie Money is completely drunk and comes close to falling off the stage.
Post YOUR line up predictions in the comments. Whoever is correct will get a Country Club 40oz the next time I see them. I am serious about this. Answers must be posted by 6PM PST on Friday, July 30, 2010.

What Would You Dew(tour)?

This kid basically dominates all the local jams and recently got 3rd at the EPIC Santa Cruz Jump Jam, so after winning the Ramp Rats Free Flow Contest on Sunday, I'm giving him some room to shine. I feel sort of weird because I don't really know Jason nor do I expect him to be down with heavy Country Club 40oz consumption, but god damn he kills it, he's from the bay, and I guess he's a pretty humble dude too. So hat's off young Jason, we salute your exceptional skills on a bike as well as the potential to eviscerate the evil forces of Mike Spinner at whatever Dew Tour you attend this year.

And I think as a legitimate blog of somewhat exclusive content, we need to make a parody of this classic Nickelodeon TV show based around doing exceptionally retarded tasks for Country Club 40's. Or a segment similar to What Would You Do For A Klondike Bar. Suggestions in the comments are more than welcome.

"A Legend is...

...an old man with a cane known for what he used to do. I'm still doing it." Miles Davis (1926-1991)

Basically, the man who pioneered style is saying "Still doin' the most." I think that's pretty fitting for Mat Hoffman. And though Mat Hoffman probably walks with a cane and will eventually become Krang from the ninja turtles, he is still doing it... the most. I always have to remember that he was the first to slide handrails on a bike. Mad props. To catch more Mat action, ESPN will be airing The Birth of Big Air at 7pm and 11pm tomorrow. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out if this was EST or PST, so check your local listings. Beers then watch this anyone?

Yesterday, we found out that Money talks. Today, we find out Money blogs. Let 'em blog. You don't see this fool out there with a cane either. Two more days.

Money Talks

A very humble interview from Santa Cruz's honorary city council member. I hope he refrains from playing anything off the album he attempted to talk about.

I also saw this video on BMXMDB, yet surprisingly nowhere else. Big fufanus will always be welcome in BMX.
