Double Feature?

This is definitely a first for Country Clubbin'. We've got a double feature on our hands. The first video is a top secret vid I made as the introductory CC edit after I bought Beerman's camera. I held off on posting it because my clips were in Brokeless 3, which hadn't come out yet, and the rest went to Another Beer in El Rancho. I sent it out so I could get feedback, but now I think it's time to share this short but sweet teaser of what the Country Clubbin' international has to offer.

Next, we have a remix of Silent Mike clips that were featured in The Hunt For Shred October 2, Where's the Beach Bro v2, and a few never before seen gems. Hopefully this will encourage Mike to ride more with the boys! Or maybe I'm the goth who rides by himself all the time? Who knows. Recognize the skill performed by this man!

Well boys, that's our first double feature. Working on a few different projects at the moment, so put your thinking caps on and come film some stuff. Summer is in full swing, so let the party begin!

Spot On!

With the aid of some lil Mikey ledge lube, here are some pics of some spots that are now pretty rad because they have been stung by the bee. More to come. As for SC high, I thought the place was a goner. But looks like the construction might be an actual improvement, as the caution tape obstacle course proved to be a quite a good session.
And while we're on spots, the Fun Spot in Santa Cruz needs some help. I've scheduled a meeting with parks supervisor Jim Gibbons, to discuss repairs, grievances, and improvements for the park. We are meeting Thursday at noon at the Fun Spot, so come support if you can make it. My main concern is that the repairs being done to the park are mere cosmetics, while the underlying problems are, well, underlying; the inner structures are melted, which is making it easier for holes to form in the facing. Other ideas and input are more than welcome. Overall, adding more spots to Santa Cruz is awesome!

Industry Inciters

Two loveable old farts, Ron Wilkerson and Steve Crandall, talking some industry in great and greater lengths, courtesy of BMX Union and Collateral BMX. Click stuff below:

Ron Wilkerson of 2Hip Fame.  Abubawhatnow?

Steve Crandall of FBM and FuelTV fame.  Wrangler of large drunk apes.

Jackson has been in the custody of both these madmen, and he turned out alright.  Watch his video again and jump over a fence!

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. Especially to Papa Twon! Our Canadian correspondent dropped this quick little edit, demonstrating that he's a Mac Daddy on one wheel. Now go give your dad a high five!

Go All Weak!

Go All Weak SoCal Trip from Andy Maguire on Vimeo.

So I finally got around to finishing the edit of the Socal trip Jordan, Leo and I took at the end of April. Good spots, good riding, good crashes. Boys, we should consider going down that way sometime over the summer, because San Diego is rad.
Also, this Saturday Crazy Chris is hosting a jam/premiere at his newly expanded Asylum check the flier!

Little Bikes, Big Mac's

In the 1980's, McDonald's took their food to the tabletops in more ways than one! I can't help but think this is exactly what my parents/older people think I do when I say I ride BMX. Could I get some extra motion lotion in my happy meal?

Above, Tristan hangs some tails, tabletops and whoopty-do's, in this all new edit at the dirt track. He may not have won, but he definitely did not lose.

Secret Weapons

I hope it's easy to see why Jake and Cisco are two of my all time favorite riders. Not just Norcal/local riders, but in general. Below are two excerpts from Che Holts' 2003 debut, "Vision," which can still be viewed on VHS in its entirety at my house. There are so many things that still boggle my mind, ie Jake's fuf to bar and Cisco 180 hips at Greer. On janky bikes. Roll Mexican forever, and have a great weekend!

Weiner Takes All

Lil Mikey Bees Wax_01 from mario alonso on Vimeo.

I feel like Mario is the type of rider who can solve a Rubix cube incredibly fast. Stoked to see a full edit of him, because he is easily one of my favorite riders from the area, who never ceases to challenge the norms of mainstream riding. And I've seen him dressed like a hot dog on two separate occasions.
Don't forget to watch this again...
