grEight Three One

Heavily inspired by the new movie, Chasing Mavericks, local riders in Santa Cruz are trying to live like Jay and "GET IT IN." The Hunger Games have officially started, with the help of Nate Delp and his 7Deeznuts. Some pics from a Monterey session, hopefully scaring some old people. Mike Hutch pulling a Tupac by putting out more riding content when he isn't capable of riding. And finally a tribute to that guy Tyler Smith and what he does best - rip around skateparks. I love the GR831!

Master BayteGame

Everybody is getting sick in this post. I for one am sick with a cold, which gives me ample time to find and post videos of your local homies. The Bay is on fire in this one, from the likes of Will Grahn, Lil Mikey, Nick Schwarzenbach and co., and the North 5's. That doesn't mean we're slacking down in the 831 though. I've got some goodies to post of some of your homegrown favorites tomorrow.

More rails than a Charlie Sheen joke

That gets typed just about every time Mesta puts out a web video. So let's try another one. Hmm, flippin crank harder than a crank pusher selling all their crank to Charlie Sheen? No, that's no good. Hittin' the bars gnarlier than Charlie Sheen? Doing his thing harder than Charlie Sheen? Ok, those are all stretches, but the edit is sick. I love seeing people go hard on spots from the Peninsula.

Winston and friends

Going by the alias of a famous Northwest college, Winston Zirjacks infiltrated UC Santa Cruz with a crack team of bicycle renegades, recorded his exploits and became public once he leaked it to the press. I can't tell what his demands are, but I assume there will be more to follow.

Maimed Monday

This post goes out to Hutch, who has a broken hand. Luckily these tricks use bluetooth hands-free technology. Goddamn. Nate Delp pfotograffiee.

Also check out this video of this year's You Better Show Up Jam. I showed up, Dusty showed up, and Caveman showed up; did you? More content, spread out over the course of the week, rather than one gigantic post. Just you watch!

Anthony decided to star, produce and direct in this quick ipod joint. Hopefully more to come from the bad ass dad himself.

Inspiration

Good morning loyal readers. I hope the following video inspires you to live a fulfilling, dedicated and better life. I hope to be doing a backwards handrail when I'm thirty too. Mike Tag is my hero, and I think he would've grinded the rail in the previous post.

It feels good to be home

After a wonderful and wild weekend in Texas, it feels great to come back to Santa Cruz. Thanks to everyone who rode hard, partied hard, and took our names to the next level. PS go to Chris' warehouse in Salinas, you will have fun.

A Jam That You Better Show Up For

Just a quick reminder that the annual "You Better Show Up Jam" is going down on Saturday at Crazy Chris' new warehouse, The Asylum. That's right, it will not be at the concrete park in Salinas, so make sure you look at the address on the flyer. This will be a good time, and I expect everybody to show up. Even the traveling Country Clubbin' Correspondents like Kelly Costello and Nathan Parker.
