There's Treasure Everywhere!

Brokleg TI Jam from Felipe Gonzalez on Vimeo.

Had a fun time getting of the island of Santa Cruz last weekend and shredding with the greater Bay brethren. And of course I got to see the Big Poppa bear himself, Mr. Chris(1+well). It is his birthday today, and he will be having a jam over the weekend at the Asylum. I'm pretty sure it's 18+, so it will probably get rowdy. Just a little.

Y'all Want Some Updates?

This is why the site is getting updated. But in less than 40 posts, we'll be hitting our 500th post, which officially makes us less than half the blog Sasquatch Canyon is. In the mean time, check out 1:10 for a pretty gnarly move that I was very impressed with.

With the X-ception of Crazy Chris' beard pull, the above video was a lame rip-off of Nyquist's Quist Quest Fest edit. For a real Dan Foley edit, you might want to check this out...

Ok, just to be fair, below is a real Dan Foley edit, which is pretty good.

Go All Weak!

Go All Weak SoCal Trip from Andy Maguire on Vimeo.

So I finally got around to finishing the edit of the Socal trip Jordan, Leo and I took at the end of April. Good spots, good riding, good crashes. Boys, we should consider going down that way sometime over the summer, because San Diego is rad.
Also, this Saturday Crazy Chris is hosting a jam/premiere at his newly expanded Asylum check the flier!

Who you calling a fool?

Although it's April Fool's Day, this is a youtube video that will not scare the shit out of you with a zombie face or whatever. But I think I'd have a nightmare or two if it cut over to Crazy Chris' face screaming bloody murder. Just kidding big guy! Brokeless III will be dropping on 4/08/13, so get ready for shark city, bitch!

Foreign and Domestic

Crazy Chris has some big premieres going down this coming weekend at the Asylum in Salinas. Did you miss out on the Talk is Cheap premiere at Texas Toast and now regret every minute? Of course you did, so roll to Salinas, watch the video, and get pampered with the new Empire video as well. Bring a rail trick! Let's just hope it doesn't rain all weekend, whether you're gonna sit on your ass watching videos or not.
Also, Abraham Lincoln, Chupacabra hunter, is killing it in this video documenting his trip to Peru. I think he Smith grinded an alien spaceship too. Four pegs and seven beers ago at the Shreddysburg Address.

Maimed Monday

This post goes out to Hutch, who has a broken hand. Luckily these tricks use bluetooth hands-free technology. Goddamn. Nate Delp pfotograffiee.

Also check out this video of this year's You Better Show Up Jam. I showed up, Dusty showed up, and Caveman showed up; did you? More content, spread out over the course of the week, rather than one gigantic post. Just you watch!

It feels good to be home

After a wonderful and wild weekend in Texas, it feels great to come back to Santa Cruz. Thanks to everyone who rode hard, partied hard, and took our names to the next level. PS go to Chris' warehouse in Salinas, you will have fun.

A Jam That You Better Show Up For

Just a quick reminder that the annual "You Better Show Up Jam" is going down on Saturday at Crazy Chris' new warehouse, The Asylum. That's right, it will not be at the concrete park in Salinas, so make sure you look at the address on the flyer. This will be a good time, and I expect everybody to show up. Even the traveling Country Clubbin' Correspondents like Kelly Costello and Nathan Parker.

Chris Cross

First up we have a wonderful vid of Crazy Chris and his son JoJo shredding it up in Salinas, like father like son. Rad. Below is Chris Riesner hopping a rail in Santa Cruz. Lastly, we have a quick video turnaround of the Fresno trip the LMB boys did, which I'm very bummed I had to miss because of work. Next time!

Keep it Slick

Got a video of the LMB boys down in SoCal heckling the world. Jordan and Crazy Chris are to be seen, as well as the rest of the bay cats. The trip looked fun, I've linked them up to the side of the blog too in case anyone wants more info. I'm a fan of the jams and trips these dudes have been doing, and I'm happy to say Santa Cruz will be sliding a lot smoother in the near future. Holla!

Big Ol' BMX Badasses

The Bay BMX has interviews of Crazy Chris and Thomas "T-Bag" Re. These are two of my most favorite people. And here's another guest of badass proportions:

No Yawnin' Here

Big ups to Crazy Chris and the Salinas gang holding a jam and premiere for Yawn BMX. The video is sick, I suggest you get your hands on a copy. Seeing the big man do some stunts on the Cult site got me stoked, thought it would be best to share it with the world. And those long haired guys shred pretty good too.

Footage Downpour

It's raining shred, hallelujah it's raining shred!

Feeling cold? Hutch is out there bringing the heat, especially towards the end of this one. Conquered that set up!

It's Always Sunny in San Diego, by DirDirt DeVito. Shady Jake would frequent Paddy's Pub.

Slangin' bricks in Salinas... bricks of beeswax that is. Congrats to Crazy Chris pulling the team manager reigns, keeping things slick and buttery in the 831!

Damn George, throwing some Dave Osato moves.

Doing the Post

Inspired by Jackson's 1000th Post Party, I thought it would be fitting to put hella posts up since this blog hasn't been updated in a while. So starting off, we have the Salinas jam, which was premiered on Saturday.

Mark your calendars...

... or get whooped. Last years You Better Show Up Jam was rad ass fuck, so you know this year it's gonna be even better. I'm waiting on another flier for the Santa Cruz Halloween contest, but keep that one in mind too. Crazy Chris puts it all in for these jams, and the results are always fun and outrageous. So reserve September 18th for some Salas shredding. Here's Mike's video from last year, just in case you were a punk and decided to not show up:

Grand Slammers

On this day in 1952, Mickey Mantle hit his very first grand-slam. Five years before, the Department of Defense formed. And it may be too early to think this Monday anything special, but I'm sure nobody predicted 67 years ago that a libido would impregnate enough starry-eyed fans to populate a small New England City; yes, Mick Jagger was born on the 26th of July. I'd like to remind everybody today that Eddie Money will be playing at the Boardwalk this Friday. So even if you're having the worst day in the history of your life, keep in mind there is always something awesome to look forward to. It might even be right around the corner.

All these dudes were shredding, hitting grand-slams in Martinez. I'll have a few pictures up soon. Thanks to Samar for hosting us at the shop, BBQing, and being an all around future mayor of Martinez.

I'm sure you can all guess why I posted this video. Don't let the San Jose footage throw you off. Three words: Crazy Chris Cameo. Plus I've never seen anybody kill the Roosevelt bowl like Chase Hawk. Grand slammers in San Jose.

4 Loko Tour Stop 1: Salinas

4Lokos Tour Stop 1: Salinas from Andy Maguire on Vimeo.

Here's a compilation of some of the riding that went down in Salinas for the first 4Loko tour stop. Yes, the watermarks are annoying, but I had to spend a crap load of time converting .mpg to .mov files and cropping the watermark out basically made the clip look like scrambled porn. So I apologize if you feel you pulled some stuff and it didn't make the cut, particularly George's rail ride to barspin. Nevertheless, we rode some rad spots and had a good crew of people to shred with. Thanks to Crazy Chris for making it happen, and thanks to everyone else who showed up. Hopefully there's enough SC footage to get edits for every stop. Or I hope Tomy coughs up his cell phone videos, because I'm pretty sure I saw him recording the pepperoni bandit in action.

Doo Zumzing!

We out here, doing all sorts of stuff at once. Just got back from Santa Ana with Mike, Anthony, Jordan, and Crazy Chris. Had a blast, saw the new Cult video, and spent hella money. The video is sick though, so sick that there is to be some sort of premiere/street ride tour on the dates listed below. We'll have more details soon, but you know the one in Santa Cruz is going to be sick. Four Locations, Four Locos, For Locals. Du sumting, du zah mohst!

July 10 – Santa Cruz

Don't Post...

Get whooped. I'm so stoked on the Crazy Chris edit, definitely one of the most entertaining people to ride with period. Nothing but love for this homeboy.

And from our brothers down under, bringing the realness to your Tuesday afternoon. My only question is what happened to DWT part 7? Let's get a SD trip before February.
