Santa Cruz CA is considered by most people (and rightfully so) as a weirdo surf town in the trees of the central coast. But hey, surfs up faggots this is a BMX blog masterminded by a few of us lurkers - anything and everything goes, stay tuned.
First order of business: There is to be a contest (or 'jump jam' as every 26'' fucktard likes to call it) on friday Feb 27th at the Lipton factory. If you haven't been it may be worth while seeing what has been built in this nonchalant warehouse near the Marine Lab on the west-side of town.

"We are having a underground night time jump jam (Fund raiser for the new Depot bike park). Open class 20" and open 26" Entry fee $ 5.00 (for a little cash prize) and an additional Suggested donation of $5.00 for the bike park from riders and spectators. The Address for the old Lipton Site is 2200 Delaware St. The sign out front does not say Lipton , it says Santa Cruz Nutrition (Harmony Foods) pull in to the parking lot drive way (towards Wilder State Park), drive into the parking lot (note: there is a no trespassing sign at the entry) pull into the front half of the parking lot way and park in the first 1/4 of the parking lot. Bring your bike inside. There will be a Main door open with the light on. You have to cross a grass lawn to get to that door (and the shit is always wet, so be warned). Look for some candles lighting the way to the door."
